Obsession… addiction… these words sound so sinister, especially in the context of Me encouraging you to develop these things. Can obsession be healthy? Is this truly an addiction?

It depends on the way you frame it, and the way you apply yourself after developing an “addiction” of sorts.

To some, these words elicit a somewhat positive reaction. The concept of “addiction” is so very arousing to those who fantasize about total control. The prospect of forever enslavement and unshakeable dependance is incredibly erotic.

However, after that phase of arousal ends, these concepts often become frightening — terrifying, even. Frankly, I don’t want you to be afraid, and sometimes, I don’t even want you to think of this as an addiction.
